The Lonely Bliss of Cannonball Luke Directed/written by Levi Abrino Comedy 2007 | 11m | USA -New York University Synopsis: Cannonball Luke returns to his hometown to launch back into the lives of his ex and her daughter. Culminating in a jaw-dropping finale, the film is a bittersweet ode to a man who’s only grounded when he’s in the sky. About the Director: Levi Abrino, 26, was raised with four adopted siblings on a dairy farm in rural Central Pennsylvania. He left the farm for Penn State University, where he obtained degrees in Geography and Filmmaking. Levi is currently an MFA candidate at New York University, where he is developing a feature film. His previous shorts "Burying Dvorak" and "I Ran with a Gray Ghost" have received such honors as being selected for the Best of Slamdance DVD, screening as part of the opening ceremony at the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival in France, and having a weeklong theatrical run at the IFC Center in New York.
